Wilson Phillips > Fire Ant. It is hard to photograph these guys. They move so fast.
Wilson Phillips > Saw this bug on the sidewalk when I was getting out of my car. I had my 18-105 lens on and I did not take the time to swap to my macro lens. I quickly, (as quick as my old body could) laid down on the sidewalk and took the shot. He was about 1.5 inches long and his antennae were about 2.5 inches across. He was huge.
Wilson Phillips > First attempt with my new macro lens. Could not get any closer. Hand held and the wind was blowing so this was the only shot that came out half way decent. Had this one really stopped down to get a good depth of field, so there is some noise in the low light areas.
